The village Santa Cristina Val Gardena

Amazing location in the center of Val Gardena

Santa Cristina Valgardena is set between the towns of Selva Val Gardena and Ortisei, in the heart of the Dolomites.

It is the smallest town in fact of inhabitants, but it is probably the best compromise in the valley as in an amazing location! Being in the middle of the two neighbor towns gives to Santa Cristina Val Gardena the advantage, that this town incorporates the best of the two towns in its small but complete reality: a compact town center full of shops, restaurants, bars and pubs and the ideal position to reach not only the Sella Ronda loop, but also the all season paradise for children called Monte Pana, the “gastronomic mountain highlight” Seceda and Col Raiser and the hotspot for skiers, cross-country skiers and sledge riders  Alpe di Siusi.

This colorful town offers many cultural and artistic highlights like the giant nativity scene made of local wood, and the giant wooden head, made by the top woodcarvers of Val Gardena. Both are visible for free in the town center.

You can also visit further point of interest like the Monte Pana waterfall with its “climber” statue and the old railway path, displaying the history of the ancient railway of Val Gardena.

From Santa Cristina Val Gardena you can easily reach  in a few minutes Selva Val Gardena and Ortisei, which are both reachable by foot (30-40 minutes walking), by car (5-10 minutes driving) or by the frequently driving busses (5-10 minutes).

This is completed by the yearly increasing number of special events, as this fast growing shooting star proudly presents every year different events, the weekly Summer Market of local farmers and artisans, selling foods and local products, the yearly Wine Festival on the red carpet, or the Summer Snow Festival, where you can see professionals skiing in the town center during the hottest summer season!

Now you only need to book your apartment in Santa Cristina to begin the holiday of your dreams!
